Diwali 2017 – on Thursday, October 19th – will bring another year of magical fireworks, community celebrations, traditional food and desi bonding for Indians living in London and other parts of the UK. Here's what's on if you are in London celebrating Diwali 2017 in the UK. This year UK Indians and NRIs from London to Edinburgh celebrate Diwali - the festival of light, goodness and community bonding.

Diwali 2017 celebration prep at Trafalgar Square Trafalgar Square Diwal Event – Sunday October 15th from 1pm to 7pm  - Free

Billed one of Europe's largest Diwali celebrations outside India, London Trafalgar Square's 16th anniversary Diwali Festival, will attract over 35,000 with its lively music and dance stage line up alongside an authentic street food market, craft and community stalls plus dance, yoga, comedy, henna art (mehendi) and much more.

Diwali at Swaminarayan Temple Neasden: Thursday 19th October

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, London will host one of the largest Diwali and Hindu New Year celebrations in the UK on October 19th . Open to all, the celebrations are an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the traditions, colours and rich culture.

Edinburgh Diwali is committed to bring the richness of Indian culture to Scotland and to Scottish community by celebrating the Festival of Light at:

The Ross Band Theatre, 
Princes Street Garden.
2pm Onwards

Schedule includes performance by award-winning entertainer Naveen Kundra. Celebrate with Indian and Scottish music, dances, DJ art activities, delicious food & drinks and fireworks!
