Audi launches A8 4.2 TDI Quattro in India for 1 crore

Audi already offers three different models in the A8L range in India – a base model with a 3.0 litre turbo diesel engine; a mid-range model with a 4.2 FSI petrol engine and the top end model of 6.3 W12 Quattro.

The latest A8L sedan will fill the gap between the mid-level and top-end models.

The launch comes a month after the German manufacturer reported a sale of 4000 cars in the first half of 2012 in India. This was 43% higher than the sales in the same period last year (2802 cars sold).
