Jaguar Land Rover, owned by Tata Motors of India, will create 4,500 manufacturing and engineering jobs in the UK in the next five years.

The multinational automotive company will generate 2,500 manufacturing jobs and 2,000 engineering jobs, said Mike Wright, executive director, JLR when speaking at the CII - CBI conference on India-UK partnership for economic growth.

JLR’s move to create more jobs comes a week after it expanded its education programme - The Advanced Skills Accreditation Scheme (ASAS) - to boost the skills of engineers working within the automotive supply chain and other hi-tech industries.
